First Christian Church of Orange is an imperfect community of people striving to follow Jesus. We believe that every person is a BELOVED child of God. Together we attempt to be a community where people can BE LOVED and work together to BE LOVE in the world.
Our History
First Christian Church of Orange was founded in 1883. Originally located on the Plaza, the church moved to the corner of Chapman and Grand in 1887, and then to our present location in on walnut ave. in 1960.
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
We are related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the oldest mainline Protestant Church founded on American soil. Our congregation radiates the aliveness that is found in the joy of Christian work and service.
